ICE 1412C deployed on the vessel “Lewek Centurion”

Cecon has agreed a contract with Singapore’s EMAS AMC for the use of “Lewek Centurion” to install pipelines in support of Cecon’s project commitments currently in-hand. The Lewek Centurion is a 146m long DP-2 deepwater S-lay vessel with a 405Te pipelay tension capacity and a 300Te crane.

The work covers of approximately 60 km pipelay works associated activities, which are scheduled for execution August/October 2013.

The end of the gas pipes have to be anchored to the seabed to secure that is stays in place and that the pipe line can follow the desired track when the vessel navigates to the place where the pipe should be connected. For these anchors 14m long tubes were vibrated in to the soil by an ICE 1412C vibratory hammer. When the pipe is layed both sides can be connected to the gas wells, production platforms or refinery platforms.
